Precision aluminum shafts in the AS series combine low weight with a hard-anodized running surface. They are recommended for compatible linear plain bearings and are available in EN AW 6061/6060 aluminum with h8 tolerance.
Precision Aluminum Shafts for Lightweight Systems
AS shafts help reduce moving mass in automation, handling and compact linear systems. In addition, the hard-anodized surface provides a wear-resistant layer while retaining the corrosion behavior of aluminum.
The material grade is EN AW 6061/6060. Straightness follows EN 754-3, base hardness is 75 HB, and surface hardness is 450–550 HV. These values should be checked against the bearing and load requirements.
6061/6060 Material and Hard Anodizing
Hard anodizing creates a hard surface on the aluminum shaft, but it does not make the shaft as stiff as steel. Therefore, support spacing and diameter must be reviewed carefully for long strokes.
Diameters range from 6 to 30 mm, with h8 tolerance and maximum lengths of 1000 mm or 3000 mm. For example, a 6 mm or 8 mm shaft is limited to 1000 mm, while 10 mm and larger sizes reach 3000 mm.

Quality Control and Delivery
