Small Supported Shafts
Compact small supported shafts with low-profile aluminum supports and aluminum, steel or stainless shaft options. Request a quote →
Small supported shafts use a narrow aluminum support to create a compact linear-motion assembly. The low-profile design is useful where installation space is limited, while the continuous support helps maintain shaft straightness.

Small Supported Shafts for Compact Assemblies
These supported shaft units are designed for small linear plain bearings and compact carriage systems. Because the support is narrower than the standard range, the overall assembly can fit into tighter machine envelopes.
The shaft and bracket are supplied unassembled, so the customer can handle installation or end machining separately. In addition, mounting screws are not included in the scope of delivery.
Shaft Options and Delivery Scope
Small supported shafts can use hard-anodized aluminum, hard-chromed C45 steel or hardened 304 stainless steel. The maximum support length is 2000 mm, with shaft diameters from 12 to 30 mm.
For wet areas, stainless steel is the preferred choice. For weight-sensitive designs, aluminum may be more practical. As a result, material selection should reflect both the environment and the required stiffness.
- Narrow aluminum support profile
- Shaft and support supplied unassembled
- Mounting screws not included
- Maximum support length: 2000 mm
- Aluminum, C45 steel or 304 stainless steel shafts
Quality Control and Delivery
Inspection is planned around the shaft diameter, straightness, surface condition and support interface. Our process follows ISO 9001 quality management principles. For critical fits, the CNC machining tolerances guide explains how to separate functional requirements from general drawing tolerances.
