Precision stainless steel shafts in the ES series use hardened 304 stainless steel for wet and corrosive linear-motion applications. The h8 tolerance supports smooth bearing fit and repeatable assembly.
Precision Stainless Steel Shafts for Wet Environments
Stainless steel shafts are intended for equipment where moisture, cleaning chemicals or general corrosion make coated steel less suitable. In addition, the hardened surface supports wear resistance in sliding contact.
These precision shafts can be supplied with standard aluminum supports and assembled where required. The result is a shaft system that combines corrosion resistance with a familiar supported-rail installation.
ES Shaft Materials and Tolerances
The stainless steel shafts use 304 stainless steel, hardened for the running surface. Diameters range from 6 to 30 mm, with h8 tolerance and maximum lengths of 1000 mm or 3000 mm depending on diameter.
For example, smaller 6 mm and 8 mm shafts are supplied up to 1000 mm, while 10 mm and larger sizes are available up to 3000 mm. The suitable size depends on load, support spacing and deflection limits.
