Shaft end supported blocks secure the ends of a precision shaft and simplify machine assembly. They combine a lightweight aluminum alloy body with a locking screw, so the shaft can be fixed without a separate custom bracket.
Shaft End Supported Blocks for Secure Fixing
The standard SH block mounts from the bottom and provides a vertical support face. The SHF flange design mounts from the side and can save installation space where the machine frame is less accessible.
Both designs use a locking screw to secure the shaft. Consequently, the block supports axial location and helps maintain the shaft position at the end of a linear-motion rail.
Standard SH and Flange SHF Designs
Shaft end supported blocks are available for 10 to 50 mm shafts. The aluminum alloy body keeps weight low, while the bore and screw dimensions follow the shaft size.
For example, the SHF-20 uses M6 fitting and M5 safety screws, while the SHF-50 uses M12 fitting and M12 safety screws. The selection should match the shaft diameter and available mounting space.
